1. Who you are contracting with

This website and the digital edition of The Road to Kali ("the Book") are operated by Pashkiran Reddy ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or downloading the Book, or by continuing to use this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. The product

We sell a DRM-free digital PDF edition of The Road to Kali for personal, non-commercial reading. On successful payment you receive a secure download link and a backup copy by email. The link remains valid for 30 days from purchase.

3. Payment, billing and reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

4. Licence to use the Book

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, store and read the Book for personal use. You may keep a reasonable number of backups for yourself.

You may not:

• resell, redistribute, upload or publicly share the Book file;
• remove or alter any author or copyright notice;
• use the Book or any excerpt to train machine-learning or AI models;
• circumvent any technical measures that protect the Book.

5. Intellectual property

All text, imagery, recipes, design and branding on this site and inside the Book remain the property of Pashkiran Reddy and the respective rights holders. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use this site, the checkout and the Book lawfully and in good faith. You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

• use the site or the Book for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory or infringing purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our accounts, our systems or other users' data;
• probe, scan, penetration-test or otherwise test the vulnerability of the site or checkout without our written permission;
• upload, transmit or link to malware, viruses, or any code intended to damage or disrupt the site;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download content from the site, or use automated tools outside of any documented interface;
• interfere with, overload, or circumvent rate limits, security features, or access controls;
• resell, sublicense, redistribute, publicly share, or make the Book available on file-sharing networks;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of any part of the site or Book, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
• use the Book or any excerpt to train machine-learning or AI models;
• impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, or submit false payment or contact details;
• engage in payment fraud, chargeback abuse, or misuse of refunds.

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law-enforcement or payment providers where appropriate.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site and the checkout available, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for temporary outages caused by our hosting or payment providers.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Book or the site if you materially breach these Terms, attempt fraud or chargeback abuse, or pose a security risk.

9. Warranty and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability to you is capped at the amount you paid for the Book in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be handled in the courts of South Africa, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.
